Gimme Some More
The record that put MEAKU in the history books, years before most artists were paying attention.
In 2020, “Gimme Some More” by Yemi Alade, Fliptyce and Meaku became the first Afrobeat music royalty NFT in history. Released via Royal.io, the song was offered to fans as a royalty NFT, a way to own a piece of the record itself, and it sold out.
No Afrobeats record had done it before. The release put Meaku alongside Yemi Alade and Fliptyce at the front of a new idea: music shared directly with the people who listen, with fans holding a real stake in the song.
That idea still runs everything Meaku builds. His music is Hybrid Vibes, Afrobeats and R&B brought together, and it reaches fans directly: this site, the store, and the list, owned by the artist, in one place.
